Australia day reflections.
To be an Australian for me is not about how many beers I can swill around the BBQ while the conversation hots up about who is not an Australian and why they should all be sent home. It is a time of reflection about how I can contribute to making this country a little bit better. This time last year I shared how serendipitously I was given the opportunity to work with Australian Post employees around Australia to help them face change and an uncertain future. The response from management and workers has been vert positive and I thought I would share an email that was sent to me.
“ Hi Lynton,
I have just completed a training course for Australia Post today in which you presented in.
It was one of the best training courses I have been involved in.
I would like to take the opportunity to personally thank you for your story and words of encouragement.
I am normally quite reserved but didn’t hesitate for a chance to take home your art work that you offered.
You mentioned a few words that I will take on board both at work and home life.
Once again thank you for a wonderful day. “
Thank you to all for your prayers and encouragement as I continue on into the new year.
