With it's broken off limbs and the gnarled growth in the centre, the resemblance to Jesus hanging on the tree/cross is striking. The face like growth is not an ant nest but part of the trunk caused most likely by a wound to the tree when it was a sapling. It is written "-He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for rightness; by his wounds you have been healed." Available as an original, as a standard print, and as a postcard.
